The Sea Lion show at the Atlantis Marine World Aquarium on Long Island in New York is slighty smaller than its larger cousins at large theme parks like Sea World - but it still looks like a lot of fun for all in attendance.
From this video, uploaded by Viddler user niftylilnumber, you can learn things like the differences between a seal and a sea lion, how the trainers get the sea lions to do what they do, and how much sea lions weigh. All great information for kids and adults alike.
Looking for more video like this? We’ve got tons of video on Viddler tagged with animals, aquariums, and zoo. So be sure to watch for more great content this summer as many of our users will no doubt be visiting parks like this on vacation and taking great video.
It has been a long month. Sundays are usually my day to take a nap if I need one, but today I didn’t get the chance. It appears that Melyss‘ dog Just can’t stay awake, and it is exactly how I feel today.
The entire Viddler team probably feels like this with their recent bug fixes from the launch of Version 2 coming out soon - they’ve been working very hard on the next build. Thanks for sharing this moment with us Melyss.
It is no secret that Viddler is chocked full of paintball videos. The search results for paintball on Viddler doesn’t even do this fact justice since some of our users have yet to tag their videos (which is something that will be resolved very soon so stay tuned). Dustin Morgan 2 (or as I call it, Paintball life) uploaded by nfgdrummer21 is one of the better paintball videos we’ve seen on Viddler. Check it out:
Some of the camera angles, and the music, are great in this video. Well done to whomever worked on it. Do you have any paintball videos to add to Viddler? Upload them here for free and tag away.
More coffee tours. Chris Tingom (chris), our resident coffee house tour extraordinaire, brings us a quick tour of Ritual Coffee in San Francisco, California. I was actually with Chris when he made this video and I must say that Ritual is a great little place to go and relax, or even get some work done with free wi-fi.
I love the music this time Chris. I actually didn’t have the coffee while I was there (I just wasn’t in the mood at the time) but everyone that did said it was very good and the place came highly recommended. Have you been to Ritual? Let us know what you think.
Back in March Rob Sandie went to the Video 2.0 March Meetup. Yesterday, a group of Viddlers along with Wine Library TVs own Gary Vaynerchuk went to the Video 2.0 April Meetup to watch Rob demo Viddler in front of a few hundred fans of online video.
Presenters
Here is the list of presenters at this month’s meetup.
If you were at this meetup, please tag yourself in the video. Or, if you recognize someone, do the same. It was a great meetup and I’m looking forward to going to another one. Thanks to Yaron Samid of Pando for moderating/organizing the event so well.
If you’d like to attend a Video 2.0 Meetup, visit their site for more information.
As far as we know no one was injured during the making of this video, though we strongly encourage everyone to try to make themselves look like jackasses too. Thanks for uploading Desiree (dezzychick).
nfgdrummer21 shares skiing with Travis Ambrose. Some really cool stunts as well as high-flying jumps. If any one has more information about this video and who is in it, please tag the video appropriately.
I’d love to know all of the details behind this video. I’ve sent nfgdrummer21 a message through Viddler for him to fill us in on all the details. So stay tuned.
Daniel Nicolas suggested one of his videos to be featured. I then asked everyone on Twitter if they thought the video was worthy. Everyone thought it was definitely worth the “featured” nod. So here it is…. just be careful when feeding lizards in Costa Rica - you may get some company in the pool.
Thanks for suggesting it Daniel. Keep the videos coming. And to everyone on Twitter, thanks for letting us know that you liked it! If you want to stay up to date with Viddler just add the following accounts to your friends list: Me Colin, Rob, and Donna.
As we have previously discussed “paintball” is a very popular tag on Viddler. We didn’t know how dedicated the paintball crowd really was till we saw this video that was recently uploaded by ryntrek823:
For everyone that is looking for an explanation, please explore other paintball videos and I think you will understand.
While at the Web 2.0 ExpoChris Tingom (chris) had my power chord in Saratoga while I was still in San Francisco. So, I had to improvise. I was on the expo floor quite early and found the first person with a Macbook that I could find - and sure enough it was Zimki. While I was waiting for my Macbook to charge a little, I decided to ask them to quickly let me know what Zimki does.
Thanks to the crew at Zimki for telling me what Zimki was all about, as well as letting my borrow some power. I’m really intrigued by the service, and plan to look into it.
