DadLabs: Choosing a Pediatrician

Posted in Featured by Colin Devroe on October 31, 2007

Are you a new father? Or, maybe you’ve got a couple of kids already? Either way, everyone could use some helpful tips in the parenting department and who better to get advice from than four fathers tackling the questions that come up during parenthood? For more on Brad’s, Troy’s, Clay’s, and Owen’s credentials - check out their about page.

In today’s featured video DadLabs, Inc. (friend: DadLabs) tackles an important topic: Choosing a Pediatrician:

To catch up with DadLabs, keep-up-to-date with their show, and just generally make it easier on yourself, I suggest subscribing to their site. They offer their show through the Viddler player on their site, as well as through iTunes if you’d like to watch it on the go. Be sure to trudge through their over 100 videos that they’ve uploaded to Viddler recently.

Thanks to the entire DadLabs, Inc. crew, who just recently dedicated themselves to four new episodes per week, for using Viddler and putting all of this hard work into making a fun and informative show.

MeToday, Singing, Leopard

Posted in Featured by Colin Devroe on October 30, 2007

Personally I think this video is just begging to be featured. JT Taylor (friend: jt31pictures) said: “I just thought it would be funny. Maybe give people a quick smile.”. Well, it has definitely done that for the Viddler team since we passed the video around in our company’s group chat this morning via Skype.

JT Taylor sings throughout the day about what he did. Very well planned (unless he is just that good) if you ask me. He installed Leopard. Did you? Let us know in the comments. Thanks to JT for sharing the video with us and for trying to make us smile.

Viddlers invade Phoenix!

Posted in Featured by Colin Devroe on October 29, 2007

This past week the entire Viddler team spent time in Phoenix, Arizona to plan out our next few months of development and catch up with one another face-to-face. During our time in Phoenix we wanted a few photos of our entire team together since this was the first time that the entire team was in one city! While Chris Tingom (friend: chris) was taking some photos of the team he also shot this video;

No, we don’t actually talk that fast. Imagine how much we’d get done if we did though? Thanks to Chris for taking the photos (which we’ll get to you soon) - we had a great time hanging out with the entire Tornado Design crew and crashing their offices for our meetings during the day. More about our trip throughout the week.

MealToday nostalgia; Austin’s MealToday

Posted in Featured by Colin Devroe on October 29, 2007

On Friday night in Phoenix, Arizona we had an excellent Meetup at the Coffee Plantation in the Biltmore Fashion Mall. We’ll have more coverage of what went on at the Meetup this week, but I was super-excited to finally meet up with Austin Baker (friend: box-seven) who had the second-place MealToday during our MealToday contest. For the sake of nostalgia, and because I never featured it all by itself, I thought now would be a great time to do so.

I’ll try to cover more about our Meetup in the coming days but I think I speak for everyone on the Viddler team when I say that we all had a great time meeting the Viddlers that came out to share some coffee and conversation. We all look forward to doing similar things in the future.

If my novel were a pumpkin

Posted in Featured by Colin Devroe on October 28, 2007

This is just brilliant. As a quick way to jot down her story, Viddler smunkee has put her “storyboard” on the side of a pumpkin. She’s using it as motivation to actually complete her novel during NaNoWriMo (website, Viddler group).

I really think this is great and look forward to seeing how next month’s community novel writing project takes off. I have a feeling that, come December, I’m going to have a lot of reading to do.

Visit the Falkland Islands

Posted in Featured by Colin Devroe on October 24, 2007

Today’s featured video showcases the terrains and wildlife of the Falkland Islands, a set of large islands set in the South Atlantic ocean just east of the southern tip of South America, and it is really quite stunning.

The Vist Falklands web site shows just how accommodating this can be for a vacation for anyone from just about any continent on our planet. The islands feature everything from unpolluted beaches to rough terrain.

The one thing that gets me in this video is seeing penguins on a beach with people in heavy coats. Looks like fun to me!

SoCal is on fire!

Our own thesirdanny has the scoop on some of the latest information. If you are in this area of California please consider letting us know what is going on in your area by recording a quick video.

We hope all of our Viddlers are safe from these fires. Our thoughts and prayers are with those that have lost their homes, property, and some even their lives. Thanks thesirdanny for filling us in a little.

Update from thesirdanny: He has posted another video.
