It seems as though the ever increasing YouTube haters have managed to get a few legitimate users banned from YouTube. Due to YouTube’s size, there probably isn’t a human dealing with each of these claims. Which is a bummer for them.
Hey! We’re not complaining though; we love taking care of our users at Viddler. Just don’t be a hater.
If you’ve been hesitant on coming solely to Viddler for your video needs, then — besides all of the amazing features for video producers — let me remind you that famous YouTubers like PhillyD, Rhett & Link, and iJustine are all on here. LisaNova has a few videos up, but seems to be slacking. I’m looking in to that.
Matthew Denton (subscribe) went on an adventure to Harbor Island and Hunting Island, South Carolina, earlier in 2008.
During the trip he saw some desert landscapes as well as beaches. Follow him along his windy bike ride though the sands. I’d like to frolic in a place like this one day!
Are you heading to the snow for some awesome skiing/snowboarding soon? If you’re in the northern hemisphere, then your answer would most likely be “HECK YES!”
If you’re not a yearly skier, then you may just be used to thinking that all you need to do is let gravity take you down the mountain. That’s true in some repsect, but you need quite a bit of physical and mental strength to keep skiing for a full day — let alone a week or two.
Ski Exercise Workouts (friend: kirkhillgc) has a bunch of simple workouts you can do almost anywhere to get you prepared to ski down your favorite mountain this winter. Personally, I don’t find paying to go to a gym worthwhile, and these workouts definitely don’t require gym equipment. Giddy!
Oh, and Australians/Southern Hemisphere-ers, you get a longer head start because winter doesn’t begin there for about 6 months.
Do you also know about the frolicking phenomenon? It’s a free and fun way to get an intense workout in a short time. Check out the Frolicking Group on Viddler.
If you have a fantastic workout for the Viddler Community to check out, the just send me a message with a link to your video and I’ll make sure it gets some rad exposure!
Have you ever wanted to get dreadlocks in your hair, but didn’t want to pay lots of money to go to a salon and get it done?
Taa daa! Becca (subscribe) from Knotty Boy in Vancouver, BC, has created this step-by-step instructional video on how to create dreadlocks no matter how skilled you are with hair.
Do you have a sweet hair do that took a while to create? Or do you have a video about something completely different? Either way, let me know about it.
Abstract art is interesting because the viewer can use their imagination to create meaning for it, and almost everyone will imagine something different about what they’re seeing.
T. Evans (subscribe) made this animation during the completion of his Masters of Fine Arts. It’s named Memory, and is part one of a four part series.
Some of my fondest childhood memories are when I spent time during the holidays watching Mr. Bean with my family.
Mr. Bean is a real character and I’d like to share this with you on the day when most people are hanging out with friends and family, discussing the year gone by and any resolutions you may have up your sleeve.
Merry Merry Christmas from all your amazing friends at Viddler! Giddy up!
For years people have been coming to surf in a canal that runs through downtown Munich. It could be a little dangerous, but so is surfing in the ocean. It’s chilly too!
Check out these guys scootin’ back and forth along the continuous wave. Cowabunga, dude!
Have you participated in a sport that wasn’t in the environment it was originally intended? Sky diving on the planet Venus? Driving upside-down? Let me know about your crazy adventures!
Do you live in the Northern Hemisphere? Perhaps you’ve had a huge dump of snow over the past few weeks. I’d like to see videos of you frolicking and playing in the snow.
John (subscribe) from Massachusetts is sharing some sledding fun on Viddler today.
If you’d like me to feature your chilly video in the snow, just send me a message with some information about the video.
Have you ever wanted to create a Rails application?
Well, if you’re running Mac OS X, you can get started in under 37 seconds. I’m serious. Even a n00b can do this thanks to TutorialsForNoobs (subscribe).
Have you created a dandy Rails app? Show me by leaving a comment on this post.
