Open Position – Online Video Channels & Partner Marketing Manager

Viddler is hiring a full time Online Video Channels & Partner Marketing Manager

Overview:

Viddler’s rapid growth requires the addition of a Vertical & Partner Marketing (VPM) Manager.

The right person for this newly created position will be charged with expanding, and formalizing Viddler’s 3rd party partner network of software developers and video solution services providers.   The VPM will also lead the development and establishment of “total product solutions” for Viddler’s served and emerging vertical markets.   VPM compensation is tied to the Viddler top line revenue in order to assure that members exceed the Viddler 2013 Revenue forecast.

Responsibilities:

  • The VPM must be fluent / knowledgeable with each partner group and with each vertical market space to assure the success and mind-share from efforts and programs designed
  • The VPM collaborates with vertical market leaders and partner leaders in order to assure a clear maximum value proposition for each group; so that Viddler’s products deliver a total product solution to each respective industry group
  • The VPM will meet regularly with prospective partners and vertical markets influencers to maintain the insights, knowledge and efficacy of all programs
  • Target, author, build and manage the deliverables for each targeted group
  • Ensure Viddler internal sales and channel partners are equipped with all the information, materials, landing pages, promotions, etc., necessary to establish each partner’s success
  • Develop and specify content for creation of product related marketing collateral necessary to recruit partners as well as end user prospects

Requirements:

  • On Line Video Industry knowledge; capable of early recognition of industry trends
  • Minimum 3 years project management and prioritization of tasks
  • Customer aware (Experience as a customer a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of web based sales and marketing strategies
  • Capable of credibly interacting with customers/prospects, industry analysts, & media from a technical perspective
  • Ability to clearly articulate your with people of different knowledge levels

Overview:

This individual will help support the hardware and software stack that is used for Viddler’s next generation video distribution platform.   The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of monitoring CPU, memory, network, and disk resources while identifying inefficiencies across an entire infrastructure.
They will have hands-on experience dealing with shared and clustered file systems in a Linux environment.
This position is responsible for day-to-day operational support, which includes implementing Linux servers, troubleshooting incidents, monitoring systems performance and performing tuning.
In addition, the engineer has responsibility for providing technical support for application developers and end-users, promoting effective and efficient use of resources and for providing technical expertise regarding operating systems and or storage technologies to IT.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, document and administer a global Linux infrastructure, both physical and cloud-based architecture
  • Develop effective performance measurement and tuning tools and strategies that help us to maximize the reliability, performance, and scalability of internal applications
  • Display effective human and interpersonal relations skills during collaborative efforts
  • Configure and test computer hardware, networking software and operating systems according to indursty and Viddler best practice
  • Coordinate installation of new hardware, software, OS upgrades and security patches
  • Resolve incident support cases such as offline servers, user administration, troubleshooting of failed backups and analysis of system performance
  • Use various utilities to troubleshoot, repair, and check configuration on servers

This position also has direct ties to our back-end developers all of whom must work in unison to effectively communicate and complete tasks.

This position is also responsible for updating/maintaining documents concerning front-end development process and deployment.

General Description

At the most fundamental level – the Viddler Marketing Specialist is the daily advocate, author, and messenger for team Viddler.  The VMS will be active in all public forums including: social media, online video industry blogs and publications.  Equally important and in support of the top line business goals of Viddler; the VMS will accept full responsibility for and ownership of an ‘evergreen” successful SEO/SEM strategy and plan.  In concert with Viddler management & consultants the VMS will monitor and optimize paid, as well as organic search, keywords, building back links, etc. to assure that Viddler exceeds the revenue forcast.

The VMS is also responsible for listening and posting (through the industry blogs, Twitter, etc.) to help ensure that Viddler offerings are competitive, solve client & industry defined business needs to deliver and simplify secure, private, profitable online video solutions for current and targeted user audiences.  The VMS must possess a strong command of online video market trends achieved and maintained through personal research, customer/prospect input, analysts’ input, channel and partner feedback, and other sources.  The VMS must anticipate future market directions/trends (along with other VIddler thought leaders) so that Viddler’s ability to compete is assured.  The VMS will also aid in development and creation of product/service related marketing copy.

Specific job responsibilities include:

  • Manage outbound e-mail campaigns, including list segmentation, multivariate testing, content management, delivery, and tracking per marketing strategy
  • Publish content daily to and for blogs, whitepapers, and newsletters
  • Work closely with Viddler management and team members to identify subject matter for technical whitepapers, blogs, webex events, and/or net new articles to be used in positioning Viddler
  • Expand social media strategy; establish and report key performance indicators for social channels (Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, etc)
  • Oversee and report on all site-side analytics including traffic, engagement, search, and referral metrics. Employ multivariate testing to optimize conversions within landing environments
  • Provide market side input and specifications to development of all current and future Viddler offerings
  • Monitor analysts, blogs, website,s and all media commentary affecting Viddler positioning and success
  • Proactively identify industry awards, trade show, and speaking opportunities and proactively campaign for a positive outcome on those determined to be strategic

The PMM is responsible for ensuring that Viddler’s products are competitive, solve industry defined business issues, and enable broadest adoption of Viddler throughout the industry. Viddler products enable and simplify video for those using Viddler solutions directly or indirectly. With input from the evolving marketplace, Viddler users, partners, and the Viddler team, the product marketing manager will be responsible to:

• Gather data and prioritize existing and future product/feature delivery specs
• Tune, develop key messaging that demonstrates a compelling value proposition for Viddler – differentiated from the competition
• Recruit participants & manage all beta/controlled release programs for features of all Viddler products
• Ensure that all publicly released Viddler products meet or exceed client expectations
• Identify potential new market verticals and client profiles best suited for Viddler solutions
• Enhance sales and channel productivity by delivering sales support and tools including product/technical training, competitive strategy and analysis, customer and partner presentations, white papers, case studies, data sheets, proposal templates, messaging templates, etc.
• Build relationships with key customers, video publishers, bloggers, videographers, developers, hosting cos., and/or miscellaneous video vendors. Lever those relationships to provide insights to Viddler regarding their future product plans while driving technology & marketing partnering opportunities.
• Conduct industry analysis; drive requirements for new functionality and/or enhancements to existing Viddler offerings. All Viddler offerings (product or service) must be viewed as pertinent, customer centric, and key for the business users considering or already using Viddler.
• Work with the Viddler marketing advocate on press releases, targeted media outreach and analyst relations.
• Seek out media placements (both advertising and editorial), speaking and exhibiting opportunities and collaborate with content experts speaking at online or in-person events
• Enhance sales and channel productivity by delivering sales support and tools including product/technical training, competitive strategy and analysis, customer and partner presentations, white papers, case studies, data sheets, proposal templates, messaging templates, etc.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS
