General Description
This position reports directly to Director of Software Development and is responsible for all applicable decisions concerning the look and feel of viddler.com and its sub-sites.

Requirements:

  •     Proficient knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery
  •     Proficient knowledge of Ruby and Ruby on Rails
  •     Proficient knowledge of SASS, Compass and CoffeeScript
  •     Fantastic eye for graphic design, typography, and layout
  •     Expert knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash
  •     Ability to use Git for source control
  •     Ability to read and comprehend a technical specification
  •     Excellent written communication skills

Responsibilities:

  •     Create new mockups and production designs to meet spec provided.
  •     Work with other development and design staff to perfect viddler.com’s workflow and usability.
  •     Approve and/or give constructive criticism to others on designs.
  •     Fix any bugs in the front-end codebase when applicable.
  •     Help document front-end workflows.
  •     Recommend improvements to usability, reliability and scalability of sites.

Communicate:

  •      Technical issues with the appropriate developer
  •      Design related issues with the appropriate designer
  •      Overall usability issues with management staff

We’re Hiring! – Rails Developer

Viddler is hiring a full time Rails Developer. This position reports directly to Director of Software Development and is responsible for all the front-end development of viddler.com and its sub-sites. This position also has direct ties to our back-end developers all of whom must work in unison to effectively communicate and complete tasks.

This position is also responsible for updating/maintaining documents concerning front-end development process and deployment.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Work with other development and design staff to perfect viddler.com’s workflow and usability.

Position Filled! – Marketing Specialist

General Description

At the most fundamental level – the Viddler Marketing Specialist is the daily advocate, author, and messenger for team Viddler.  The VMS will be active in all public forums including: social media, online video industry blogs and publications.  Equally important and in support of the top line business goals of Viddler; the VMS will accept full responsibility for and ownership of an ‘evergreen” successful SEO/SEM strategy and plan.  In concert with Viddler management & consultants the VMS will monitor and optimize paid, as well as organic search, keywords, building back links, etc. to assure that Viddler exceeds the revenue forcast.

The VMS is also responsible for listening and posting (through the industry blogs, Twitter, etc.) to help ensure that Viddler offerings are competitive, solve client & industry defined business needs to deliver and simplify secure, private, profitable online video solutions for current and targeted user audiences.  The VMS must possess a strong command of online video market trends achieved and maintained through personal research, customer/prospect input, analysts’ input, channel and partner feedback, and other sources.  The VMS must anticipate future market directions/trends (along with other VIddler thought leaders) so that Viddler’s ability to compete is assured.  The VMS will also aid in development and creation of product/service related marketing copy.

Specific job responsibilities include:

  • Manage outbound e-mail campaigns, including list segmentation, multivariate testing, content management, delivery, and tracking per marketing strategy
  • Publish content daily to and for blogs, whitepapers, and newsletters
  • Work closely with Viddler management and team members to identify subject matter for technical whitepapers, blogs, webex events, and/or net new articles to be used in positioning Viddler
  • Expand social media strategy; establish and report key performance indicators for social channels (Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, etc)
  • Oversee and report on all site-side analytics including traffic, engagement, search, and referral metrics. Employ multivariate testing to optimize conversions within landing environments
  • Provide market side input and specifications to development of all current and future Viddler offerings
  • Monitor analysts, blogs, website,s and all media commentary affecting Viddler positioning and success
  • Proactively identify industry awards, trade show, and speaking opportunities and proactively campaign for a positive outcome on those determined to be strategic
  • Monitoring paid search in order to optimize campaigns, conduct keyword research, and track performance

Position Filled! – Product Marketing Manager

General Description & Requirements:

The PMM is responsible for ensuring that Viddler’s products are competitive, solve industry defined business issues, and enable broadest adoption of Viddler throughout the industry. Viddler products enable and simplify video for those using Viddler solutions directly or indirectly. With input from the evolving marketplace, Viddler users, partners, and the Viddler team, the product marketing manager will be responsible to:

• Gather data and prioritize existing and future product/feature delivery specs
• Tune, develop key messaging that demonstrates a compelling value proposition for Viddler – differentiated from the competition
• Recruit participants & manage all beta/controlled release programs for features of all Viddler products
• Ensure that all publicly released Viddler products meet or exceed client expectations
• Identify potential new market verticals and client profiles best suited for Viddler solutions
• Enhance sales and channel productivity by delivering sales support and tools including product/technical training, competitive strategy and analysis, customer and partner presentations, white papers, case studies, data sheets, proposal templates, messaging templates, etc.
• Build relationships with key customers, video publishers, bloggers, videographers, developers, hosting cos., and/or miscellaneous video vendors. Lever those relationships to provide insights to Viddler regarding their future product plans while driving technology & marketing partnering opportunities.
• Conduct industry analysis; drive requirements for new functionality and/or enhancements to existing Viddler offerings. All Viddler offerings (product or service) must be viewed as pertinent, customer centric, and key for the business users considering or already using Viddler.
• Work with the Viddler marketing advocate on press releases, targeted media outreach and analyst relations.
• Seek out media placements (both advertising and editorial), speaking and exhibiting opportunities and collaborate with content experts speaking at online or in-person events
• Enhance sales and channel productivity by delivering sales support and tools including product/technical training, competitive strategy and analysis, customer and partner presentations, white papers, case studies, data sheets, proposal templates, messaging templates, etc.
• Provide product marketing support: including activities such as product release deliverables and product specific support at industry conferences, trade shows, seminars, sales events.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS
• 4+ years B2B product marketing experience
• Proven ability to plan and lead marketing projects from concept through implementation
• Proven ability to successfully multi-task.
• Proven results in managing successful demand-creation and awareness programs, including sponsorships, trade shows, and events.
• B2B selling or marketing experience in the SMB marketplace
• Proven project management experience working under multiple deadlines and within budget.
• Passion for video technology.
• Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills

Position Filled! – Systems Administrator Linux

What you’ll be doing:

1.  Troubleshooting systems issues
2.  Scripts & monitoring of system and multiple external services: amazonaws, mysql, etc.
3.  Automating common systems tasks,
4.  Setting up new services in support of development,
5.  Participating in spinning up new data center.

Desired Skills Experience:

1.  You have 2 -3 years real sys admin experience: debian, linux, python, perl (windows doesn’t count)
2.  You love to solve problems, get agita anytime your system is not up and running optimally, and 500 is not in your acceptable vocabulary.
3.  You will be local to the Bethlehem PA area,
4.  Position is full-time/40 flexible hrs with regular on-call.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Planning and conducting multiple in and outbound WebEx, email, Facebook or TBD sales campaigns per requirements of each sales campaign.
  • Manage the distribution and close of all sales leads (prospects and suspects) received by or through Viddler marketing partners.
  • Follow up on leads from various sources including: trade shows, web site, mailings, seminars, partner collaborations, etc.
  • Develop “ownership” and mastery of the internal sales database of prospects, inquiries and paying customers – as available through Salesforce.com, Viddler website sources, partners, and other sources.
  • Back-up and cross training as Customer Service Rep. responsible for providing assistance in response to any Viddler client/prospect inquiries or requests.
  • Assist Viddler peers and management with the creation of approach and sales scripts for each product or industry solution.
  • Meet or exceed daily goal of contacts with new prospects and current customers. A contact = a social, text, electronic, email or phone conversation with the appropriate technology buyer/evaluator for the specific Viddler product involved.
  • Meet or exceed 100% of quarterly sales objective.
  • Conduct independent research regarding the online video platform business, applications and trends including technology applied, competition, partner and Viddler customer use trends, etc. (i.e. know and participate in the industry that you sell into).
