Rhett and Link are a very clever musical-web-comedy-duo from Lillington, North Carolina. They have been creating video content online since 2000, and now have almost 200 music videos, films, live recordings, and sketches scattered all across the web.

One of their recent series is the Surrogate Sharers. Fans and viewers can send embarrassing experiences to Rhett and Link, and they will create a video you can send to a friend/acquaintance that you’d be too embarrassed to speak to directly.

I know I’ve certainly forgot peoples’ names even after I’ve met them a bunch of times. Alas, this is to all those people whom I call ‘buddy’, ‘pal’, and ‘dude’.

Oh boy. Those guys are a bunch of fun! Be sure to check out the rest of their videos.

Be sure to look out for an interview with Rhett and Link on The Viddler Blog soon. Yeehaa!

ViddlerTV has been around for a little while and we’ve posted some great videos under that banner. And we’ll continue to do so – covering a wide range of topics and events for the foreseeable future. However, we really wanted to start “a show” that had everything to do with Viddler and all of our great Viddlers – so we’re also going to use ViddlerTV for that purpose.

I should have called this first episode “Contact me, and we’ll figure it out, together!” but I’m not that creative it seems. This first run of ViddlerTV is a test and an introduction on how we’ll structure the show and how all of you can interact with it. We’re hoping to do at least one episode per week covering your questions from the forum, highlighting the best videos and hardest working Viddlers that we find. Don’t hesitate to send me a message and suggest topics, etc. So, enjoy our first episode (beta).

The entire Viddler team is going to be attending the Web 2.0 Expo and Web2Open in San Francisco, California. Yesterday we had a strategy meeting to get all of our notes about the expo together and go over what we’d like to accomplish while we’re there. Rob Sandie, Donna DeMarco, Harry Snodgrass, and I (Colin Devroe) met in Viddler’s Bethlehem, Pennsylvania offices to have this meeting. Here is a quick recap of what we went over:

We’re looking forward to attending this year’s Web 2.0 Expo and we’re going to be announcing some details regarding what Viddler will be doing at the Expo, where we’ll hanging out after the event – and how you can be involved. More details coming in the next few days, stay tuned.

If you are going to be in San Francisco from April 14th to 19th 2007 – send me a message!
