Mashable joins the video conversation

Posted in Announcements by Colin Devroe on March 18, 2008

One of our favorite tech news sites, Mashable.com (friend: mashable), has joined the video conversation by adding the ability to record video comments as responses to their articles using our Wordpress video commenting plugin.

Mashable’s site isn’t only a news-outlet, but also a strong community of individuals that love all things tech and Web 2.0. We’re really happy that the Mashable community can now use their webcams to record personal video messages in reply to Mashable’s coverage.

As Leo Laporte said when he added video comments to his site, he thought it was a much more personal way to communicate with, and get to know, an online community. We’re hoping that the same will be true for Mashable’s community so that they too can have a much more personal conversations on what they’re most passionate about. Check out my first comment on Mashable, and don’t make fun of my hair.

Thanks to the Mashable team for working with us to get this up and running to quickly!
