Over 2,000 MeTodays!

Posted in Announcements by Colin Devroe on December 19, 2007

What an awesome milestone to reach! The Viddler MeToday group, which only started back in the last week of May, has just passed the 1,000 video mark while the number of videos on Viddler tagged with MeToday has surprassed 2,000! That is about six years worth of MeToday videos.

It seems we have a bit of work to do to get everyone that is doing MeTodays to tag their videos properly and to also add them to the MeToday group. If you need help figuring out how to do this, you can watch our video tutorial, or leave a comment on this post and we’ll help you.

I’d say the MeToday-ers deserve a healthy round of applause for sharing their daily activities, their ups and downs, their joys and their sorrows, a sometimes just general non-sense. It has been really fun to watch all your stories each day and I love that everyday we’re adding new MeTodays and new members to the MeToday group.

Thanks to all who have participated, you know who you are. For those of you that have never done a MeToday, I suggest you give it a spin - who knows, you may just join the group and do one everyday!

Our little Viddler is growing up! *sniff*

Of course, there are downsides to popularity too, like the guy who just dumped a bunch of cheesy off-topic self-help videos on the group. :-/

Masto: Agreed. I’ll be removing those videos promptly.

    Wow, that’s insane!
Congrats on spurring more into the MeToday theme.
I really hope it helps people realize that we are all just individuals doing our thing. Scraping off the anonymity or fame helps us relate.
    Good work.
