October 1st: Having problems uploading?
5:23pm EST: We’re nearly 100% operational at this point, though we’re still making small adjustments to the way we handle a few things (especially dealing with our new video player). If you have any problems uploading, please report them below.
3:19pm EST: I’m now going to start editing these “time based” posts by putting the newest information on top. I received some feedback last time that it might be preferred this way. Let me know what you think.
We have made some headway with the uploading stability issues we were having earlier. We’ll be doing another update within the next few minutes that may affect the entire site from performing perfectly – so please do not adjust your television sets as this is a known issue. We’ll be back really shortly so for many of you, this may not even be an issue.
12:21pm EST: Hi all! So, I’m guessing you all missed me while I was on vacation for the past 9 days because I’ve come back to Viddler getting absolutely bombarded with your videos getting tons of traffic! Right now we’re adjusting a few things to deal with this and so some of your uploading processes may not complete. If they don’t – do not try again immediately until we get this straightened out.
Sorry for the inconvenience – we’re all working hard to get things adjusted in a timely manner and I’ll be keeping you up-to-date here on the Viddler Spotlight. Oh, until we get under-feet – go ahead and watch some Haydenfilms!

October 4, 2007 - 12:47 amIs the encoding issue fixed?? Or are you talking about the web cam issue. I think a bunch of us are still having issues with encoding. Haven’t tried another upload in the last 9 hrs.

October 4, 2007 - 3:47 amI just uploaded 2 videos and none of them have encoded yet. Let us know what is going on? I think I might stop trying for the night and just try again tomorrow.

October 4, 2007 - 2:22 pmHi all! I’m working with the development team this morning to see exactly what is going on. Please describe the exact problems that you are seeing in detail.
Examples:
1. Encoding ‘takes awhile’ but still finishes.
2. I’m in the encoding queue for an hour.
3. My video doesn’t encode at all but it did upload.
These types of descriptions can really go along way into help us figure out what is going on specifically with your videos and will help us to solve this quicker. Thanks everyone!

October 4, 2007 - 4:44 pmYesterday I was able to upload but not record. The red button would not activate the recording, although I could see my image in the box.
Later on in the day I tried again, but was able to record voice, but pic was not visible. Weird…go figure.
