Pixelmator: In-depth screencast via TUAW.com

Published August 10, 2007 by Colin Devroe in Featured

Our friends at The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW) have scored an exclusive screencast demonstrating Pixelmator, and upcoming image editor for the Macintosh, and we’re really excited to feature it.

Personally I’m fairly excited to see something like Pixelmator finally come to fruition. John Gruber, of DaringFireball fame, called Pixelmator vaporware. Lets hope that he’s wrong, if only just this once.

Why am I excited? Because I think the entire space of image editors is pretty bland right now. How many really good image editors can you name? Photoshop? Gimp? Any others? There are others, for sure, but I’d love to see more competition (especially affordable solutions) enter into the game. I am all for something like Pixelmator coming out and getting a bunch of attention. I think it’d be great for everyone.

Thoughts?
