Viddler

I’m super excited about today’s featured video because I think this might be one of the best uses of Viddler that we’ve featured in months. Ukulele Underground (friend: ukeunderground), out of Kauai, Hawaii, is a web site dedicated to “soothe that aching ukulele addiction”. Ukulele Underground provides lessons, and minutes (short lessons), to help you learn to play the ukulele yourself!

Here is Episode 9, or Lesson 1 - Lovesong (favorite here), from Ukulele Underground - and I think it is terrific.

I really enjoy the sound of the ukulele (perhaps because I desire a trip to Hawaii at some point in my life) and so even if I’m not learning to use it at the moment, I can just sit back, relax, listen, and enjoy.

About using Viddler as their player of choice, Ukulele Underground said the following:

“We’re using a new video sharing service called Viddler for all our videos. You may notice those black circles throughout the timeline of the video. These marks are each section of the lesson so you can now easily skip around to specific parts as you wish. What’s really cool is that if you create a viddler account, you can actually embed your own comments into our videos! Sometimes you’ll hear the Viddler team refer to our player as “the interfactive player” and so when we see new Viddlers joining for this very reason, we like to think that we’re actually doing something right - and that people are enjoying our features.
