Widgets + Viddler = Vidgets
This announcement is a little overdue, but I’m still really happy to be letting you know about Vidgets, our version of widgets. With Vidgets you’re able to easily embed more than just one video onto your blog or Web site with a simple block of HTML code.
Kyle Slattery (friend: kyleslat), our Lead Social Developer, has put together an incredibly useful tool to help you build Vidgets anyway you want them.
With Vidgets you can create lists of videos using any Viddler username, a tag on Viddler, a combination of the two, featured videos, popular videos here on Viddler, and much much more. Not only are these Vidgets fun to make, they can be really useful! The combinations are endless!
Here is a quick Vidget that we put together to showcase our 5 things meme here on Viddler. (You have done a 5 things video and put it in the group, right?)

This is just one example of what you can create using Viddler Vidgets. So get started! Make up a ton of Viddgets and then share them in the comments. We’re looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

July 25, 2008 - 5:55 pmI think it would be great if you could add vidget support to the wordpress plug-in. If I had the option to embed a vidget I think it would make life easier. As it is now, the page that I want to embed a vidget on (which would be a catalog of all the shows, it not turning out right and I can’t figure out how to fix it
