Viddler

I’m totally thrilled to be featuring a video in The Viddler Spotlight. When Colin asked me if I wanted this opportunity, I did my signature freak-out dance thing, and delightfully accepted.

I call a mere 60 videos on Viddler my favourites, yet I enjoy every video I watch here! So, over the past several days I’ve been pondering on what kind of video to feature; Justine being ‘out of control’?; Brandice winning NaNoWrimo?; Leo Laporte joining Viddler?; Cait and I doing a MeToday together? Nope, I wanted something no one had seen before (hopefully).

First, I went to the MealToday group, and saw so many delicious meals that I had to find something for myself to eat. When I returned I decided to see what other Viddlerers are favouriting. This is where I struck gold!

I found a Viddler user named Valarie. She’s from China, and she has some of the funniest animations I’ve ever seen! Most of the videos are some form of animation, and use only music and sound effects to convey the story ? there’s usually no dialog. Moreover, this video has only had 11 views at the time of writing; the majority of you haven’t seen it. Click play!

After watching several of her videos, I found Piotr Dumala – Wolnosc Nogi(1988) and I couldn’t stop laughing at its random nature. I wasn’t sure if I would sit through the entire 10 minutes, but when it got weirder and weirder I just had to continue watching.

This Christmas, don’t watch any of the garbage on television. Instead, be sure to check out Valerie’s other videos, and watch them full-screen with your family and friends. You won’t be disappointed! You can also see which ones I liked the most in my favourites.
