C-SPAN StudentCam Recap

During the month of April C-SPAN and Viddler have been featuring videos every morning by both middle school and high school students for C-SPAN’s StudentCam 2009 Contest. As mentioned in Donna’s post, the topic in this year’s contest was ‘What is the most urgent issue for the new president to address after taking office, and why?

The first prize winners will be featured over the weekend and C-SPAN’s StudentCam 2009 will conclude on Monday with the Sawyer Bowman’s video which won the grand prize of $5,000 for himself and $1,000 for his school to spend on digital video equipment.

Which student’s video meant the most to you? At this point in time I’m quite concerned about the sustainability of Earth, and thus the videos ‘Requiem for the Honeybee‘ and ‘Go Green For Life‘ meant the most to me.

C-SPAN anchors have been interviewing the winners via Skype or telephone every morning live on television. You can watch the interviews on C-SPAN’s video page.
