Make BBQ Sauce Without a Recipe!
When creating a home cooked meal most people want it to taste like something delicious they tried at a restaurant. Hence, abundant use of recipes employed by such people. Sure, a recipe can tell you what ingredients are in a particular dish and how to cook them, but the fact is it’s unlikely that you’ll get the exact taste and texture you’re looking for.
What types of condiments did you put in the dish? Did you make those condiments yourself? Chef Todd Mohr (subscribe) hosts a radically raw video blog — which he states is “almost daily (Monday-Friday)” — and he hates recipes. The aim of his vlog, Cooking Course, is to teach viewers, cooks, people that pray to their cookbooks to think outside the recipe box and learn the basic cooking methods that lead to better outcomes in the kitchen.
In the most recent episodes Chef Todd has been showing ways to create your own BBQ sauce. I’m so tempted to go in to the kitchen right now and start whipping up my own version; inspired!
If you don’t like BBQ that much, then there’s over a hundred more episodes full of giddy ideas to inspire your taste buds. Another interesting one is a cooked salad dressing.
Chef Todd has a plethora of tips on his website to get your started on your journey through the kitchen and on to the palette of your taste buds. From kitchen sanitation to approaching the use of eggs with confidence; he’s got you covered!
As usual you can friend Chef Todd up in the usual ways — Twitter and Facebook.
