Michael Jackson Tribute
It’s been less than 24 hours since Michael Jackson left Earth to be with the likes of Elvis Presley and Farrah Fawcett, but no doubt you’ve heard or seen all the juicy news about it. Even if you don’t have a television or the Internet (highly unlikely), you would have heard people talking about it in passing, at work, or even your friends calling you.
When my sister told me this morning, it felt exactly the same as when I heard about the Twin Towers collapsing; it took me a while to wrap my brain around it.
If you do happen to have a T.V. then you’ll have access to a plethora of programming featuring the life and times of Michael Jackson. I knew who Michael Jackson was when I was younger, but I didn’t grow up in his ‘era’. As much as I don’t like watching T.V., watching news programs about Michael’s life makes me connect better with him and his music.
For the next few days Viddler will be spotlighting videos related to and inspired by Michael Jackson. If you have any such videos you’d like to share, just send me a message.
Here’s a fantastic version of the Thriller zombie dance which occurred a couple of years ago in San Diego.
You rocked our world, Michael! <3 Everyone at Viddler.
Update:
Here’s a tribute from Bradley (friend him up, yo!). He talks about the awesome legacy that MJ left behind and what you’ll leave behind as your legacy.

June 26, 2009 - 9:00 pmDear Michael Jackson,
I have never meet you, but I have loved you from afar. Michael, we are left behind on earth, while you are in heaven with the angels and Jesus. I miss you, i miss you so much I don’t know what to do. I never knew you personally, but the kindness, generosity and innocence you showed warmed my heart. You were an example and a one-of-a-kind human being . Your talent is phenomanal, and unmatched by anyone, your singing voice rivals the sweetest bird. Michael, you lived hard, you were mistreated and struck down almost all your life, but you stayed strong. I know it must have been hard on you, and stress hurt you more than we knew. Michael, my nights are sleepless and dull, my brain still can’t comprehend. It all seems like a dream. I’m typing a letter you’ll never read, by a girl you’ll never know, but I can’t hardly see the keys for my eyes are blurred with tears.
I will miss you and my heart goes out to the Jacksons and the trillions of fans all over the world.
Good bye, Michael.

Throughout the ages, a legend is born to make a change. One whom is set miles apart from mediocre mankind. One whom sets in motion an eternal revolution of change… Michael Jackson was such a legend to the 20th and 21th century music industry. Bands bowed before him, rival singers quivered at his name, producers smiled with open arms at every chance they could.
Michael was a revolutionist, a idealist, a romantic in the true sense of the word. He fought the ordinary till the very end. Only the best was fit for him, nothing less, and he ensured that is what the world reaped from him.
Witnessing a tragedy like this today is a very difficult task. One which should never happen, yet awaits inevitably… For to see a hero like Michael go is indeed a Shakespearean tragedy to all. His antics shall always be remembered by one and all and his difference in the world shall always be cherished at heart.
Like other legends such as Van Gough, Anne Frank and Frank Schubert who only are able to be truly celebrated after death, Michael too will join their boat and continue on his journey whilst we continue ours. May his soul rest in peace and may he find the joy he deserved. Amen…

August 30, 2009 - 3:33 amI just wanted to let every true fan out there know that I found one of the most beautiful, independent tributes to the late, great “Michael Joseph Jackson” on Youtube. I did not make this video tribute, but it was just so amazing, yet so sad at the same time, that I had to share it with everyone. Some may cry and that’s okay. Here is the link:

R.I.P. Michael J. Jackson…you are definitely gone too soon. I always believed in my heart that you were innocent of all the false, much publicized accusations; because whenever there’s substantial money involved, there will always be greed & corruption (which you were a victim of)! And I believe that the light will shine bright on your accusers on day soon! That will be a joyous day! You’ll be forever in our hearts.

September 9, 2009 - 7:56 amI really cannot believe how much a child molester is being praised! It just sickens me to all the attention he is getting. If that was ur child he did that to I think u would be feeling a lot different. The only good thing that came out of this he will not be able to harm another child!!
